I enjoy being in a competitive environment with open-minded students and teachers. Something I would change about the school is the lack of diversity. I wish Branson had more students from different backgrounds.
I love it here! The teachers are so nice and the campus is beautiful. Branson is amazing!
I love the small community and getting to know everyone! The campus is beautiful, and the teachers are very engaged. The academics are tough, but they prepare you well for college.
Branson used to be a place of excellence, now it is a political school only with social justice as its only goal. For $60k, it’s just not worth it any longer. Several great teachers have left and applications are down. College placements also on a downward spiral as well as no real support for all sports. Sad to see what has become of the place.
Our child started this school with the highest of hopes, only to much later realize that it has evolved very little from its homogeneous, extremely wealthy, insular origins. Despite lots of useless lip service, the students are socially stratified along lines of race and class, and I will let you guess what kind of kids are on top. Academic achievement is not prized here; fitting into this highly culturally specific place is. Don’t get excited by those uber-selective college placements; as is the case at almost every expensive private school, those are largely allotted to the children of wealthy parents who can afford extensive private tutoring and other advantages. It’s not all bad: The academics are decent. There are some teachers who care. The food is good. But perhaps the greatest gift Branson gave my child is the realization that a strong sense of self can overcome even the most challenging environments.
As a student, I find Branson’s academics very challenging but rewarding. The teachers are always willing to help and the extracurricular activities are fantastic. The workload can be heavy, but it’s manageable with good time management.
Very good school for my son. Highly recommend for any parents out there who can afford it.
Branson is an exceptional school. The academics are rigorous, the campus is stunning, and the food is gourmet. The focus on mental health and understanding how the teen brain functions is evident by how happy the kids are. My only concern is the amount of homework my child has, but it seems like that’s a common practice among all the top academic schools.
